BabyStyle Oyster
A stylish buggy for the urban environment, this can be used forward or rear facing, and features a cleverly built-in shade/mosquito net, secure foot brake and easy folding mechanism

Our Review

Reviewed: 22 February 2012 by Sarah Savage 2
Stylish and good value, the BabyStyle Oyster is ideal for urban dwellers and easy to fold when it’s time to pop it in the car boot. When I was first shopping for my son’s buggy, I was blinded by the idea of a Bugaboo like plenty of other parents were at ...  Continue reading

Sadly I went to purchase this Babystyle Oyster complete Travel System, as I live in New Zealand, there's no agent here. Hence I called the Head Office in UK, who unbelievably directed me to order & pay an insolvent Agent (Munchkins, Emma Moore) of their's who was in arrears with her account with Babystyle UK LTd (the supplier) I LOST all my MONEY GBP676.00 & never got my Oyster Travel Sysytem. No carrycot, no capsule, no stroller. During the order as the out of stock delay was a big hold up for 8 to 10 weeks, Head Office even confirmed when I ph'd them abt 24 June, that Emma of Munchkins was getting her order that week, (that was abt end of June 2010 & within my Pay Pal protection time). Yeah right!!! that statement from Head Office cost me all my money, as it made me relax & wait..too long to claim within Pay pal safety period. Munchkins had ceased trading around then. bet her account was on STOP CREDIT with Babystyle UK LTD, who referred me to use her. BabySTyle UK LTD Supplier wont do a thing to see me right, they don 't care. I'm not to sure their normal backUp & support will be that great if that's how they treated me & my new born baby. I'm now stuck at home talking to newspapers/reporters/consumerAffairs,figghting to get my stroller from them, as I believe the buck stops with them for not using 'due care' in their referral, they had the info she wasn't paying them & had majorily fallen behind with account. With no stroller, no capsule, nor carrycot, Sadly we don't have faith in BabyStyle H/O & wonder if they are too poor to fix this issue, they can't be that significant in stroller biz. Perhaps just a super marketing co. They need to get a heart in this case. Think before you support such a comapny who treat new MuM with new born this way.

Sadly I don't think you are alone in thinking babysyle dont care.  I bought a travel system and within less than 6 months the handle has started to perish (wear away) .   They are refusing to replace this under the warranty despite trading standards and consumer guidelines advising that an item should be fit for purpose. and quite clearly stating that at the very least a repair should be offered. The handle you would think being an integral part of the buggy, as this is what is required to be used each time.
