Wished I had bought something else!!
Stylish, lightweight, easy to collapse, all the things I wanted in a pram for the city! Easy to change it to front or rear facing. Moved very easily in the shop, has a lovely carry cot and you could buy a car seat to match which we did. I couldn't wait to use it and I thought I had found the best pram on the market for our needs! .... I was wrong!
No suspension. Did not handle bumpy paths well - as a newborn our little one felt every bump & his sleep was often disturbed! Difficult to handle on curbs and steps, took a lot of effort to manoeuvre
which was a real strain after a c-section!
Very poor product and a waste of money.
Really dissapointed when took pram out on the road and realised it didnt handle our local paths well and yes we live in London! After a month the chassis wouldn't close properly & it was sent away for repair, we were given a replacement but this was awful in comparison. A few weeks after that, the front wheels started to lock when the pram went over any bump! On long walks the handle did not stay in place and slid down during the journey. We took the chassis back to the shop and it was replaced. Within a week similar problems emerged. Frustrated and of course really annoyed at this stage we demanded our money back. Although this took a few days to be agreed with Mamas and Papas we did get a refund.
Positively, the staff at Mamas and Papas have been pleasant when I arrived in the store (on 3 occasions) with a faulty pram. The sales assistant assured me that there were only a few Urbo's with the problems I've described and that they've had no further returns, however, I've seen other reviews on the internet about the same problems, which leads me to doubt this.
Even without problems, the lack of suspension and lack of manouvrability on curbs and pavements makes it a poor buy. Wished I had bought the Sola. Have now bought the Baby Jogger City Mini - hope its better!
