2. Battersea Sports Centre
If you little ones have too much energy then there’s lots for them to do at Battersea Sports Centre. The centre had a full sized indoor sports hall with markings for volleyball, netball, basketball, badminton, football. Other facilities include outdoor hard courts, a fully-equipped air-conditioned gym and fitness room and a multi-use games area including an 5-a-side Astroturf football pitch.

Alex claims that this is her favourite place in Wandsworth. It boasts the second largest outdoor pool in Europe, has a paddling pool and a café making it a great choice for a day out on a warm summer’s day.

6. Wandle Recreation Centre
This leisure centre has fantastic facilities for children and parents alike. They offer Junior Gym which is open Monday to Friday between 4pm and 6pm and is supervised by their qualified fitness team. 5-a-side football pitches are available for use any day of the week. Something that is certain to be a hit with your little ones is Playzone, open Monday to Friday. Playzone is a inside area with slides, nets, balls, soft play toys and more. It is suitable for children aged 3 months- 7 years. And if you’ve got a special occasion coming up they also host birthday parties.

So many sports classes occur in this gated area of the common and Alex believes this is a great place to go with your kids. “It is a nice gated area so dogs are kept out and children in and close to the café for toilet breaks,” she says.

This great sports centre also has a Playzone soft playarea which is open from 9am Monday to Friday. They have lots of junior activities that your little ones can get involved in. There is also a sports hall with facilities for football, basketball, badminton and table tennis.

9. Tooting Leisure Centre Pool
