Nearly a quarter of children aged 3 are overweight, researchers have found.

University College's Institute of Child Health measured the height and weight of 14,000 three year olds and found 18% were overweight, and a further 5% were obese.
. While only 9% of Indian 3 year olds were obese or overweight, the problem affected 23% of white children and 33% of black Caribbeans. The research was carried out using data from the Millennium Cohort Study, which is tracking children born in the UK
