This hunt is based on finding hidden the paper (or card) cut-out eggs, so it's perfect if you're keen to avoid a frenzied chocolate-egg pile-on.

Once your child's collected the cut-out eggs, you can dish out the chocolate – or other Easter-y treats, if you'd prefer.

Here's how to set up your Peter Rabbit Easter Egg hunt

  1. Find Easter treats to give out when the hunt's complete.
  2. Decide how many cut-out eggs you're going to hide and how many signposts you'll want to use.
  3. Download and print off as many of our 5 downloadable sheets as you need to give you the right number of eggs and signposts.
  4. Cut out the eggs and the direction signposts. You can glue them onto card first to make them stiffer, if you like.
  5. Hide the eggs in various places around your house and/or garden.
  6. Place the signposts near to each hiding place to guide your child towards the eggs.
  7. You're good to go!
