5-year-old's apology letter to John Lewis for breaking a bauble
The department store is searching for the girl
The Cambridge branch of John Lewis is searching for a little girl after she sent them a sweet letter of apology.
Five-year-old Faith wrote to say that she accidentally knocked a fragile bauble over while shopping on Saturday.
She then wrote the shop a letter with two pound coins stuck to it with sellotape.
She said:
“To John Lewis Cambridge,
More like this
“I’m sorry I broke a Christmas bauble on Saturday. It cost two pounds. Here is the money for it. Sorry again.
“Faith, aged 5.”
The head of John Lewis Cambridge, Dominic Joyce, tweeted to thank her: “@johnlewisretail the cutest letter sent to JL Cambridge. There is no address so we wanted to thank Faith on Twitter!"
He told the Express: “[The letter] melted everyone's hearts, we just thought it was so sweet.
“We hoped there would be an address to say thank you but there wasn't. We just wanted to give her a treat to say thank you for being so lovely and honest.
“So far we haven't had any luck, we've seen lots of re-tweets but so far we haven't heard from Faith.”
The retail store has launched a twitter campaign to find the little girl using the hashtag #FindFaith.
