Pet pug who encouraged mute boy to talk goes missing
A mute boy who only started talking when he got given a puppy has now become mute again after his pet pug was stolen.
Liam Hainsworth, 4 who has Global Development Delay had never said a single word until he was given a puppy for his birthday. The day Milie the dog arrived, little Liam blurted out ‘dog’ and ‘mummy’ and the pair quickly became firm friends, with his learning disability and speech improving well.
But now Liam has zipped his lip again after Milie was stolen from his back garden. His mum, Aimee, is now worried about her little boy’s health. “He goes over to Milie’s cage and beats on the bars. There are no words coming out but you know inside he’s screaming.”
Yorkshire police are now investigating the incident.
