A family dog in America saved the day when her owner, 3-year-old Victoria Bensch, wandered off in the middle of the night.
Victoria slipped away from home in just a t-shirt and her underwear, and survived near-freezing conditions thanks to the family dog, Blue, who followed her out of the house, and snuggled up to her to keep her warm through the night.
Toddler Victoria was found with Blue after her parents and rescue teams searched mountains near Cordes Lakes, Arizona.
Local Sheriff, Sgt Jeff Newnum said Blue was “one of the only things that saved her life.”
Despite needing treatment for frostbite, little Victoria is expected to make a full recovery.
