London's West End theatres open their doors to children for free in Kids Week
Kids Week (or should that be Fortnight as it runs for two weeks in August) gives families the chance to get free and half price theatre tickets for children aged 5-16. The tickets are available for two weeks from 13 - 27 August and include deals for to-selling performances such as Oliver!, Mamma Mia!, Wicked, Sister Act and Legally Blonde. In fact,most West End shows that are suitable for children will be taking part. The ticket deal is as follows: One child (aged between 5-16) goes absolutely free when accompanied by a full-paying adults. Up to 2 further children can go for half price. Kids Week also includes a series of free activities and workshops around the shows, including meeting the cast and crew, going backstage and learning showstoppers with the pros.
