Children’s t-shirts printed with a Kate Moss quote have been removed from sale as they could fuel eating disorders. The t-shirts - which are printed with the words “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!” - were previously available in children’s sizes on the online clothes shop Zazzle.

Campaigners complained after adverts for Zazzle showed children wearing t-shits with this slogan.

The Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) and anti eating disorders campaigners have condemned both the adverts and the t-shirts for promoting unhealthy ideals about beauty and health to impressionable children.

“We told Zazzle to ensure future ads were not irresponsible and, particularly where they were addressed to or depicted children, did not contain anything that was likely to condone or encourage an unsafe practice or to result in their physical, mental or moral harm,” explained the ASA.

Kate Moss made the comments in an interview with a fashion website in 2009, when quizzed about her life motto. “There are loads of mottos,” she said. “There’s ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’. That’s one of them.”
