Park rangers’ horror as child appears with special flower
A primary schoolboy picked a rare orchid flower during a school trip to a local park.
The child was with classmates visiting Wat Tyler Country Park in Essex when they were asked to collect bright, coloured objects from around the park.
Rangers were horrified when he returned with a bright pink flower, which had in fact been picked from a rare orchid plant.
Fortunately, the rest of the plant was intact, and a representative from the area commented, “Hopefully, it will flower again.”
