A travel system is a buggy that includes an infant car seat, which can be easily attached to the buggy chassis (the frame) and removed again. While some car seats simply click in and out of the buggy frame, others require adaptors to use the car seat with the buggy. Whichever way the car seat is attached, a travel system is all about allowing you to easily move your baby from buggy to car without the hassle of disturbing her.

Some travel systems also include a carrycot. Like the car seat, this can be attached to the chassis or buggy seat, turning your pushchair into a pram where your newborn can lie flat. If the buggy has a seat that can be reclined to lie-flat position you may not need to purchase a carrycot to use the buggy from birth.

Britax B-Motion 3 travel system, £284.98

The B-Motion travel system is a spacious all-terrain 3 wheeler that converts to a travel system with Britax BABY-SAFE Plus car seat.

Air-filled wheels and responsive suspension allows for a smooth ride and outstanding manoeuvrability, so you can push it one-handed (genius for mums-of-two needing to keep hold of a tot’s hand). Removing the car seat from the buggy also requires just one hand.
