First Look: Didofy Stargazer travel system
Introducing the new Stargazer, an 11-piece all-terrain travel system from award-winning buggy brand Didofy
Didofy debuted in 2019 and has produced buggies such as the popular MFM Award-winning Aster 2 and Cosmos Bloom. This latest offering is the brand’s new eco-conscious, all-terrain travel system the Stargazer, which is suitable from newborn up to 22kg.
The pushchair aims to be more sustainable, with fabric made from recycled PET plastic bottles. It can be folded and unfolded with one hand, features advanced wheel suspension, all-terrain tyres, and a collapsible carrycot suitable for overnight sleep. For those looking for a does-it-all travel system with plenty of luxury touches, the Stargazer is flexible, functional and definitely good value for money.
Why is the Didofy Stargazer special?
- Using innovative technology known as the GravityFold system, the Stargazer can be folded or unfolded with one hand, in both parent-facing and world-facing mode, ensuring parents can collapse the pushchair easily.
- The fabric for the pushchair is made of 92 traceable, sustainably recycled PET bottles, and the carrycot fabric is made from 73 recycled bottles.
- The Stargazer has advanced four-wheel suspension, with all-terrain tyres, making it suitable for rural and urban living.
- The magnetic buckle and smart one-pull harness make it easy to strap wriggly children in safely and quickly and the seat mode can be adjusted from upright to lie-flat with one hand.
- The carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping, with a rocking base to soothe babies and when not in use it collapses with two clicks, saving precious space and making it easy to load into the car or store at home.
Using the Didofy Stargazer in pram mode
In pram mode, the luxurious carrycot is spacious and comfortable. Available for £200 separately, or as part of the travel system bundle, the carrycot is easy to attach too and detach from the frame.
Unlike many other pushchairs, the carrycot feels quite high on the chassis (even with the handlebar extended to its maximum height of 110cm) meaning my baby was always visible and I wasn’t having to stoop to check he was comfortable.
The viewing panels and zippered sections meant it was easy to check on him, and they allowed for good ventilation on warmer days.

Using the Didofy Stargazer in pushchair mode
The Stargazer pushchair feels very lightweight, weighing just 9.9kg. It is easily put together, with an intuitive design which quickly clicks into place. The weight makes it much easier to manoeuvre around and the steering feels very responsive.
With a choice of black, green or grey fabric on a gunmetal, anodised frame, this pushchair looks smart and the extendable UPF 50 waterproof hood with peekaboo window ensured my toddler was protected from the changeable British weather.
The leatherette bumper bar and handlebars feel luxurious and comfortable to hold. The bumper bar can be removed if necessary and I was very impressed by the five-point easy click magnetic harness which allowed me to quickly secure a very wriggly toddler, with minimum fiddling around.
When storing the pushchair, the one-handed fold – using Didofy’s innovative GravityFold system – allows it to fold down in one movement from either world-facing or parent-facing. While this can sometimes be tricky to master with pushchairs, the Didofy system really works and makes folding the pushchair up to save space very easy.
Using the Didofy Stargazer for the first time
I tested the Stargazer with my three-month-old and my toddler. In both modes the Stargazer exceeded my expectations. It is easy to push, and there is no risk of stubbing toes on the brake, which I’m grateful for. The whole pushchair felt intuitive, the adjustable handlebar makes pushing very comfortable and the journeys I made with it felt smooth. The ease of adjusting the seat of the pushchair is brilliant, meaning I could switch between upright and lie-flat when my toddler wanted to nap, or quickly and easily adjust the footrest.
The UPF 50+ hood gives great coverage, extending a long way, with a peekaboo window to allow viewing. The fabric is made of environmentally friendly recycled bottles and you can tell there’s plastic in the weave, but it still manages to be soft and comfortable.
The basket storage is generous. I stored a changing bag, shopping and rain cover underneath and there was plenty of room. The way the basket is angled gives me confidence that vital items, such as my child’s water bottle or favourite toy, won’t fall out.
The pushchair is designed to tackle all terrains and has good solid wheels that will manage most activities, with four-wheel suspension for great handling. The only time I felt the Stargazer struggled slightly was when I tried to go up a kerb, but that was simply a matter of approaching at the wrong angle.
The wheels are puncture-proof and turn easily and the pushchair coped well with every surface which I tested it on.
How does the Didofy Stargazer fold?
The Stargazer folds down very easily and quickly with one hand, and when folded it takes up very little space. It stood in the corner of our kitchen until needed and was barely noticeable. The lightweight chassis is easy to carry around and it fitted well into the boot of our car.
What accessories come with the Didofy Stargazer?
A drinks holder and rain cover come as standard with the Stargazer, with a footmuff, changing bag and changing mat as optional extras.
The Stargazer is compatible with car seats from most brands including Maxi-Cosi and Cybex, as well as Didofy’s own infant car seat. Adapters may be required.
Who is the Stargazer best suited too?
The Stargazer is suited best to families looking for great value for their money, who want a travel system which can tackle most terrains and last for a long time, but doesn’t take up too much room.
For eco-conscious parents who live in urban locations but do have an outdoorsy lifestyle, this travel system would work well.
How much is the Didofy Stargazer?
The Stargazer is available as an individual pushchair, 11-piece travel system bundle or any combination in between.
The Stargazer Travel System bundle is £799
The Stargazer Stroller is £425
