This homemade tomato pasta sauce recipe suitable for babies from 7 months. You can use in combination with pasta, meat or veg or as a pizza sauce. Add some herbs to introduce different flavours every time you serve it.
800g plum tomatoes 2 tins,
whole onion 1,
whole clove garlic 1,
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Gently fry the onion and garlic in a little olive oil until soft and golden.
Add the tomatoes. If you’re using plum tomatoes, break them up with a wooden spoon. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in the olive oil and puree until smooth.
Use as a pasta sauce or as a base for other dishes such as lasagne or as a pizza topping.
