Parsnip and pea puree

Use frozen peas for this veggie dish, suitable from first weaning

- 100g frozen peas
- 1 whole medium parsnip

Method

Step 1
Peel the parsnip, cut into chunks and boil for 10-15 minutes, until soft.

Step 2
Add the peas, bring back to the boil and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Step 3
Drain, reserving some of the cooking water, and blend to the required consistency, adding some of the reserved water if necessary.
- Pass the puree through a sieve using a wooden spoon to remove pea skins, if required.
