Avril Lavigne may be expecting a little skater boy (or girl!) of her own, if rumours are to be believed.

The Canadian pop star has been photographed recently covering her tummy with fabric from her skirt and sporting loose-fitting attire, leading to speculation that she is pregnant.

Lavigne is no stranger to making surprising revelations, having recently confirmed her engagement to 37-year-old Nickleback rocker, Chad Kroeger.

Prior to the startling announcement, the unlikely pair had kept their six-month relationship totally under wraps, leading both fans and the press to question their hasty commitment.

Perhaps now we have our answer, and the musical legacy of the artists who brought us Sk8er Boi and Rockstar will live on and on.
