Johnny, who's currently in town filming the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, turned up at the school after Beatrice wrote to the star asking for help in staging a ‘mutiny’ against teachers. Dressed from head to toe as Captain Jack Sparrow, the star met with Beatrice and showed fellow pupils the letter she sent.

On TV programme London Tonight, Beatrice revealed what she had written to Jack Sparrow:
“Captain Jack Sparrow, At Meridian Primary School, we are a bunch of budding young pirates and we were having a bit of trouble mutiny-ing against the teachers, and we'd love if you could come and help.
Beatrice Delap, aged nine, a budding pirate.”

A flabbergasted Beatrice said, "He gave me a hug and said, 'Maybe we shouldn't mutiny today 'cos there are police outside monitoring me."'

This isn’t the first time Johnny Depp has taken time out to hang out with young fans. In January 2008 he visited sick children in the wards of Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, reading them bedtime stories dressed as Jack Sparrow. He later donated £1 million as a thank you to the hospital for saving his daughter's life after she contracted blood poisoning.
