The model and mum to Princess, 4, Junior, 5, and Harvey, 9, admitted to feeling “physically sick” when she was told the shocking news.

“I spoke to my mum and she told me how a mechanic had found a device hidden on the undercarriage of the Range Rover,” Katie said, reports The Sun.

“The first thing I thought about was my kids and their safety. I needed to be with them.”

Katie also explained that whoever attached the GPS device may have been following her and her kids around since August when she last had her car serviced.

“Because I had a kidnap threat at the start of the year, it could be related. It meant whoever planted it knew just where I was at all times and could follow me. It’s terrifying," said Peter Andre's ex.

“Luckily the device had a security number, so the police are looking into that to see where it was bought and hopefully find who’s responsible,” Katie stated.

Despite the car tracker shock, Katie is looking forward to Christmas even though she and her ex-hubby Peter Andre divide time with the kids each year.

"That's the way I was brought up and I didn't mind. I think they cope with it too but I always look for signs it might affect them. Pete and I don't really talk, but hopefully we'll be civil,” Katie said.

"Christmas is all about family for me. I put on a tracksuit and a pinny and cook Christmas dinner, then we all sit in a circle opening presents. We watch all the usual telly then play board games.”
