Following an interview with OK! magazine, where new mum and actress Kym Marsh admitted that she was struggling to breastfeed her daughter Polly, fans on Twitter have attacked Kym, calling her “lazy” and “vain”.

However, 35-year-old Kym has hit back at the nasty comments saying, “It’s so sad they have to hide behind a computer and question my dedication to Polly.”

In the interview, Kym revealed that she wasn’t producing enough milk to feed her baby, so she had switched to formula.

Kym gave birth to her daughter seven weeks prematurely in March just two years after she suffered a stillbirth in 2009.

Hitting back at the cruel taunts, Kym tweeted a long message back, “I stayed in bed for three months to bring my baby into this world after losing one, so don’t you dare EVER criticise me. For your information I did breastfeed for as long as I could, but I wasn’t making enough milk for her. I was advised by HER consultant to give formula so we could get her off the drip. Not that I need to explain myself to you.”

Kym recently spoke out about her tragic stillbirth to son Archie in 2009 and described how she feared the same would happen to baby Polly.

This isn’t the first time a celeb mum has been criticised for stopping breastfeeding. Denise Van Outen was also victim of the breastfeeding bullies after she gave birth to daughter Betsy.
