The twins due date is just weeks after Mo will compete at the games. Mo will try to become the first Brit to win an Olympic title for both 10,000 metres and 5,000 metres.

“It’s going to be quite a year. I might not show it but it is exciting. I was like ‘WHAT?’ when we found out,” Mo said in the interview with The Sun.

“It was the end of January and I was about to leave to race in Glasgow. When Tania told me she was pregnant I said, ‘Really, are you!’ I didn’t think about the dates at that point. To be honest, I didn’t even know the dates of my races at the Olympics,” Mo said.

“And we didn’t know it was twins then. It was only when Tania went for a scan a few weeks ago that we found out. That threw everything into perspective. I was like ‘WHAT? REALLY? Help. We need to call a nanny!” explained Mo.
