10-year-old Charlotte Bell shocks US First Lady by handing over her unemployed dad's CV at a White House Q&A session for children
A 10-year-old girl has given her dad's CV to US First Lady Michelle Obama, and told her he's looking for a job.
Charlotte Bell was visiting the White House for a Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day and, as soon as Michelle picked her from a sea of eager 'pick me' hands at a Q&A session, she sprang out of her chair, handed the First Lady the CV and told her her dad had been out of work for several years.
As you can see from the clip, Michelle gives the girl a hug and says, “Well, it’s a little private, but she’s doing something for her dad. Got it.”
Charlotte's mother is an administration employee at the White House and told the Associated Press news agency her husband had worked for the Obama campaign in 2012 but had been looking for a policy job since then.
The family had joked over the weekend about Charlotte using her meeting with the President's wife to make a job pitch for Charlotte's dad – but they said they had no idea Charlotte would actually give it a go!
