We don't need telling that looking after a baby is bloody hard work - but sometimes it's nice to hear a celeb actually admit that it is, rather than all the usual earth-mother guff showbiz types spout while an army of nannies do all their actual child-care.

So Sienna Miller gets all our Brownie points today for confessing (albeit to Vogue...) that actually, yes, having a baby is tiring, relentless and chaotic. Go her!

According to Glamour magazine, Sienna, speaks candidly in the October issue of Vogue about her life with her toddler daughter Marlowe, who she gave birth to in July, 2012.

Now separated from Marlowe's dad, actor Tom Sturridge, and a single mum, Sienna said such was the exhausting nature of parenting, she could just drop off to sleep!

"Obviously when you have a baby it's the most incredible experience but your life is also catapulted into this chaos and you are exhausted," she told the magazine. "I could literally get on this table and fall asleep."

The star also 'fessed up that she would like to be more of a super-mum and get more done (wouldn't we all, love!), and (this is REALLY shocking - not!) admitted she didn't even have time for shopping, living in jeans, trainers and t-shirts most days (like us, then).

"I'd like to be better at managing things; I'd like to be more super - although we're never going to feel it, even if we are," she mused.

And with words of wisdom that will resonate with mums everywhere, she concluded: "That's the curse of motherhood - we just run ourselves ragged. I'm just trying to get a sense of what that guilt is. I sometimes feel like it's a totally invented emotion. It's strange to be punishing ourselves this way. It's not healthy."

Aw, we like her! And it's not the first time she's talked sense about babies, either. Shortly after Marlowe's birth, Sienna spoke out about how her physique had changed, and how instead of agonising over the changes, or trying to battle them she simply had 'enormous respect' for her body and what it could do.

All other celeb mums, take note! THIS is what we want to hear about your parenting 'journeys'!
