The pregnant actress admits the bikini shot is a 'little out of character'
Anne Hathaway beat the paparazzi to the punch – posting her own baby bump picture. The Princess Diaries actress took to Instagram to share the candid holiday snap showing just how much her baby bump has grown since her pregnancy first started to show at The Intern premiere in September (above left).
The mum-to-be is wearing a red bikini in the photo with her hands proudly resting on her baby bump. Going au naturel with no make-up and her hair pulled back – the 33-year-old couldn't look happier.
But even this beauty admits she was glad for the Instagram filter! (We can totally relate.)
"Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends!" Anne commented, sharing the picture. "So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed.
I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :)

The picture is the first time Anne has publicly acknowledged her pregnancy since the news leaked in November – when she was reportedly in her second trimester.
Anne is expecting her first child this summer with her husband Adam Shulman – after they married in September 2012.
We love that Anne is taking ownership of her pregnancy body by sharing her own picture – she's clearly proud of her growing bump!
