It has been reported that children as young as five are being taught sexual education lessons, using explicit cartoons, films and books.

The Daily Mail reports that local councils and even the BBC have promoted the material.

Among the books singled by the report, created by the Christian Institute, is How Did I Begin? The book shows a cartoon image of a couple in an intimate embrace, with an explanation using adult terminology.

Another book, called The Primary School Sex And Relationships Education Pack, includes material to teach children aged five to 11 all about sexual positions and prostitution.

Outraged family campaigners have described the material as ‘too much, too young’ and warned that they believe it will encourage sexualisation.
