Seven years after the original Bugaboo Bee took the lightweight pushchair world by storm, the new Bugaboo Bee3 looks set to do the same when it is released this September.

An updated version of its predecessor, the Bugaboo Bee3 now includes a solid-bottomed carrycot that fits to the pushchair with unique adaptors. This new carrycot (or bassinet) should also fit on the current Bee.

Bugaboo has also improved the stroller's seating unit and harness. This now works as a no-thread system and will adjust more easily as your child grows.

Check out the three things we love about the Bugaboo Bee 3 in this video.

The under-seat basket is bigger, while the sun canopy is extendable, offers UPF+ 50 protection and will come in a variety of Bugaboo’s eye-catching colours.

Still offering many of its original features, the Bee3 is rear and forward facing and is travel system compatible with a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix or Pebble car seat.

This new Bee3, like the older versions, won’t suit all budgets – the stroller alone costs £530 and you will have to spend an additional £200 for the carrycot. Factor in the extra £100 for the car seat and the total price tag for the full Bee3 travel system will set you back £830.

Admittedly it does boast an array of hi-tech features and comes with an almost celebrity-like status, but it could sit on the “lust-have” rather than “must-have” list for cash-light parents.
