Justin Timberlake has shared the first picture of his newborn son – and it looks like he's already a basketball fan! Dressed in a tiny sports shirt, the 1-week-old is enjoying a cuddle with mum Jessica Biel.

"The Timberlakes are ready!!! GO GRIZZ! #GritNGrind#Playoffs #BabyGrizzROAR," Justin commented on the sweet family snap.

Justin and Jessica became mum and dad to their little boy on Saturday 11 April. And while they've given their baby an unusual name, it isn't totally in the realms of showbiz crazy - in fact, it's rather cute.

Baby Silas Randall Timberlake is named after Justin's granddad Bill Bomar, who had Silas as a middle name, whereas Randall is Justin's dad's first name and his own middle name (still with us?!).

The couple's 'people' say that mum and baby are doing well, and that dad Justin is "ecstatic" over his son's arrival.

The pair decided not to find out the sex of their baby, so little Silas's gender was a complete surprise to them - as was their baby announcement to fans given that Justin only confirmed they were expecting in January. Back then, the star shared his and Jessica's happy news with a pic of him kissing her bare belly and the caption:

"Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes! This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT."

Last month, Justin was reduced to tears as he paid tribute to Jessica and their forthcoming new arrival at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, saying: "You can't have innovation without creation, so finally, I want to thank my best friend, my favourite collaborator — my wife, Jessica, at home, who's watching."

He added: "Honey, I can't wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don't worry, Daddy's heading home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on."

Aw, if he was like that before little Silas arrived, how much of a softie, sentimental dad is he going to be now? We can't wait to see the first pics of baby Silas with mum and dad.
