Justin Timberlake jokes about cost of toddler clothes - but does he have a point?
The singer opens up about fatherhood, and jokes about the price of 19-month-old Silas' wardrobe
Rejoice! For Justin Timberlake is heading back to the studio ?
The former *NSYNC boybander has revealed he’s working on his next album, something many people (us included) have been waiting for.
It has been a couple of years since his last album, The 20/20 Experience, but we can hardly blame him for wanting to take a little time off.
After all, the 35-year-old star became a first-time dad to son Silas (who he shares with wife Jessica Biel) back in April 2015.
And as he revealed in an interview with The Today Show, he’s been enjoying the luxury of a year off with the fam.

“It was nice to have the time to just be there and enjoy the first year,” he admitted, saying fatherhood was “the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.”
"[Becoming a parent] changes everything. You literally just like wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and go, 'I have no idea what I'm doing'. They teach you. It's crazy. It's humiliating and it's humbling at the same time."
But if we were Justin Timberlake, we'd (well, we’d probably sing around the house a bit more) probably want to take loaaaads more time off.
No can do, though. There’s a reason he’s heading back to the studio - and it seems to be related to 19-month-old Silas’s wardrobe.
Joking about his return to the music biz, he quipped:
“You've got to pay for those expensive toddler clothes. They cost more than my clothes!”

Now, goes without saying that obvs Justin is kidding here and we imagine he’s not in any real financial jeopardy because of totally-adorable toddler t-shirts.
But his comment did get a thought process going here in the MFM office - toddler clothes can sometimes feel a bit eeeek when it comes to the price tag.
One mum on our team says she purposefully shopped in cheaper places when her little one was in the toddling phase, purely because her child was growing so quickly, she felt there was no point in splashing out on more expensive stuff.
