Lady Gaga on godmother duty again for Elton John’s Elijah
Pop star “great role model” to both Elton and David Furnish’s children
There are few higher privileges amongst friends than being asked be godparent to someone's child, so we reckon Lady Gaga must have found it difficult to keep up her poker face when Elton John requested she do the honours for a second time.
Rocket man Elton wasted no time in ensuring his pop star pal’s involvement with baby Elijah, admitting that despite her eccentric public persona she really was born this way – much like himself.
“She’s a great role model, she’s young, she’s been a great godmother to Zachary. We’re all bonkers in this business, but we’re human beings at the same time,” Elton told Extra.
While it is not clear whether they told her in person or on the telephone, Elton’s husband David Furnish clearly hopes the circle of life will ensure his boys soak up some of Gaga’s star quality.
“Zachary's going to inherit an incredible musical legacy from his father one day, and she will be a good person to guide him through the ins and outs of the music business, 'cause she sure knows everything about the business now."
