Sam Faiers praised for breastfeeding LIVE on This Morning
The reality TV star got such a positive reaction...
It makes us sad to admit that usually, we’re expecting most celeb stories to involve some form of mum-shaming.
Ex-TOWIE cast member Sam Faiers has especially got it in the neck from critics since becoming mum to 9-month-old Paul.
They didn’t like her breastfeeding selfie and mum-shamed her for numerous reasons over this boat photo.
So we’re pleased that this story about the ITVBe Mummy Diaries star has had an overwhelmingly positive response.
Sam was being interviewed live on ITV’s This Morning when she needed to breastfeed Paul - because she’d rushed to the studio and didn’t have time on her way in.

Presenter Holly Willougby smiled: “When it happens, it has to happen.”
And co-host Philip Schofield later told viewers that it was Sam’s choice to use a cover, and that they were “perfectly comfortable” when Sam needed to pass Paul to Holly so she could rearrange her blouse.
Holly didn’t seem to mind having a quick baby cuddle, though ?
The reaction to what’s been called “a great TV moment” by NCT policy advisor Elizabeth Duff (via the BBC) has been incredible.
One viewer wrote: “Never paid attention to Sam Faiers in my life and I can't stand TOWIE but massive fair play to her for breastfeeding live on TV #natural”
While another added: “So proud see Sam Faiers nursing on This Morning. Shows the reality of motherhood and breastfeeding, which should be more normalised.“
“Dear @SamanthaFaiers: you're amazing. Breastfeeding should never be controversial, but it is, and you're ace x” one woman wrote directly addressing the star.
Of course, there were a few mum-shamers lurking in the wings, waiting to strike.
“@SamanthaFaiers quite appropriate that baby needed feeding just when interview started!! Only done it to get people talking!!” is just one example.
Unfortunately, the odd negative comment seems to be part and parcel of being a celeb these days.
But we have to say, we’re thrilled that most people watching had such a positive (or even non) reaction to breastfeeding.
Because it doesn’t matter where you are, or when it is: if your baby needs to eat, they need to eat.
