UK

Fish cakes, brussel sprouts, cabbage, rice with peas and yogurt with berries - look familiar? Well that's what's being served for lunch in British schools according to Sweetgreen, a US restaurant chain. The healthy food chain have released a photo series called ' School Lunches around the World', to show what children around the world are served in the school canteen.

And we're shocked by how healthy and appetising the meals look! In France the kids feast on rare steaks and Brie cheese, while in Italy they get a tasty pasta dish with 2 different kinds of salad.

Has to be said that when we showed the UK lunch to a visiting teenager, he thought it looked a lot healthier than the choices he gets at school.

Other international trays of food look a little less healthy – in the USA they still serve popcorn chicken with ketchup and canned fruit with cookies.
