Martine McCutcheon's shock pregnancy after 7-year health battle

"It’s joy we never knew existed" are the touching words from 38-year-old actress Martine McCutcheon, who has announced she’s 3 months pregnant with her 1st child.

Martine and her musician husband Jay McManus shared the news in an interview with HELLO! magazine, where they revealed they are 'blessed' to be expecting a little boy.

The Love Actually actress said she’d assumed she might never become a mum due to her age and her 7-year battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

"We’d always said that if we were fortunate to be blessed with a child, that would be wonderful," Martine says, "but we were very aware that it’s not a given.

"As a woman in her late 30s who’s experienced health problems, I thought I might have to accept that it wasn’t a path my life was going to take. But it would have been a great sadness in our lives if that had been the case."
