Carol gained a place to study engineering at Cambridge University at the age of just 17 – at the time, one of the youngest women to be admitted.

She set up The Maths Factor with the aim of demystifying maths for children.

“I want children to be the very best they can be with numbers and mathematics, and developing a love of the subject is part of everything we do,” she explained.

According to a YouGov poll, 96% of parents believe it’s crucial for their children to have good number skills for future job prospects.

If fractions make your child fractious, visit The Maths Factor to find out more.
