Cat Deeley broke the good news on Twitter: "Exciting news.... Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the Spring... Lucky us."

Tom Fletcher and Giovanna - 2016

McBusted star Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna broke the news they were expecting their second baby – in what might be the best-scripted and well-produced pregnancy announcement video we've seen. Not exactly homemade but we love it anyway.

Kelly Clarkson - spring 2016

Baby number 2 is on the way for Kelly Clarkson and her husband. She let slip the good news during a concert in Los Angeles: "I was not planning on announcing this, I’m totally pregnant!" she exclaimed.

"My makeup artist is backstage hating me. I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something," she told the crowd. "I would like to apologise to my husband. This was not planned. I'm just so hormonal. Everything is great, I haven't vomited yet. That's a win y'all."

Andy and Kim Murray – February 2016

Four months after the couple got hitched, they revealed they were going to be parents for the first time.

When quizzed at the Rogers Cup in Montreal Andy revealed: “We are both extremely excited, happy and we feel lucky. But this is also private news and stuff we want to keep close to our family and friends and I hope that everybody can respect that.”

Harry Judd and Izzy - January 2016

Harry Judd announced that he and his wife were expecting their first child, especially after we heard about their three year IVF struggle: He posted this picture up on Instagram and wrote: "Izzy and I are so happy and feel truly blessed to be able to share with you that we are expecting our very own little miracle #BabyJudd @izzyintheattic??"

We’re didn’t see this one coming and we’re predicting it will be the most surprising announcement of 2015. Louis Tomlinson is going to be the first One Direction daddy.

Twitter went into overdrive with a frenzy of fans who were reeling from the news when it was revealed that the 23-year-old is expecting a baby with Los Angeles-based stylist Briana Jungwirth. She’s cancelled her Twitter and Instagram accounts so we're thinking this might be the most private pregnancy of 2015.

Coleen and Wayne Rooney - January 2016

Baby no 3 is on the way for Coleen and Wayne Rooney! The couple who already have two boys, Kai, 5, and Klay, 2, are expecting another addition to their family in January. They both took to Twitter to announce how ‘delighted’ and ‘excited’ they were.

Coleen recently told Hello! magazine: “I think a girl would complete the family but because the boys get on so well, another boy would be just as nice.”

Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato - 2016

Michael Bublé is going to be a father for the second time! He announced the news at the beginning of July with his son being totally adorable in a video on Instagram.

This was followed by a baby scan a week or so later with the caption “Good morning world ! Today we got the first look at the newest addition to our family ! #boy?#girl? #whocaresaslongasitshealthy”

Sam Faiers - gave birth in Dec 2015

Update: Sam and boyfriend Paul Knightley had a baby boy on December 29th, but have yet to announce their son's name

When the rumours started to circulate the Sam Faiers was pregnant, there was only one thing that a TOWIE star could do, and that was take to social media and announce the news yourself. In this case, in emojis: "??❤️"

Kim Kardashian West - gave birth in December 2015

Update: Kim Kardashian gave birth to her son Saint West on Saturday 5 December weighing 8lb 1oz.

Kim Kardashian has been quite vocal that she’d love a brother or sister for North West – remember the having sex with Kanye West 500 times a day comment? The happy news is that her hubby can now have a rest as she’s expecting her second child.

In true reality star style, she announced the news on the reality show. "I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant!" Kim tells her shocked sister Khloe in the clip. It's not yet known when the baby is due.

Kim's mum Kris Jenner took to Instagram to congratulate the couple with a picture from their wedding day. "Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to meet your new little love bug!!!!! Sooooo happy for you guys!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #blessed #love #family#youaresobeautifulpregnant," she commented.

It's wasn't easy for Kim to get pregnant second time round. She had to undergo three operations before she could even try for IVF.

Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley - gave birth in October 2015

Update: Tom and Charlotte had their baby in October - but have kept tight-lipped about the sex and name of their baby to date

All eyes weren't on Tom Hardy at the premiere of his latest movie but on his wife Charlotte Riley instead. It was impossible to not notice the actress in a simple floor-length dressed that hugged her baby bump beautifully.

This is the couple's first child together but Tom's second, as he is also dad to Louis who was born in 2008, to his then girlfriend Rachel Speed.

Katherine Jenkins – gave birth in September 2015

Update: Katherine and Andrew welcomed a 7lb baby girl at the end of September and named her Aaliyah Reign

In April Katherine Jenkins announced she was expecting her first child with husband Andrew Levitas, just 6 months after the pair tied the knot at Hampton Court Palace.

"Couldn't be more excited to meet our little girl! #MummyToBe #DaddyToBe #ArtProject #Collaboration #Family @Andrewlevitas," she wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of a pair of cute pink baby slippers and a framed photo from her wedding day.

Leighton Meester - gave birth in August 2015

Update: Leighton and Adam welcomed a baby girl in August but managed to keep the news under wraps until a month later

Like their secret wedding in 2013, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody kept it hush, hush that they were expecting a baby. When Leighton started to show, they literally couldn't keep it secret any longer. The couple were spotted out to lunch in California with more than a mere hint of a bump showing on the usually lithe Leighton - meaning the cat was officially out of the bag.

It seems like the baby bug is catching in their circle, Adam’s former girlfriend Rachel Bilson welcomed a baby girl, Briar Rose in November 2014, and Leighton’s Gossip Girl cast member Blake Lively and hubbie Ryan Reynolds welcomed their daughter James late last year.

Fearne Cotton - gave birth in September 2015

Update: Fearne and Jesse had a baby girl on September 9th and gaver her the sweet name, Honey Krissy

Fearne Cotton made it a double announcement when she hit us with the big news that she was leaving Radio 1 after 10 years and at the same time, revealed that baby no 2 was on the way.

“I feel extremely blessed and happy that Rex will be a big brother, and we get to welcome another Wood into the world,” she said at the time.

We’ve got to admit that we love the fact that Fearne was cravings carbs and white bread during her pregnancy. Plus she didn’t have a fitness plan in place: "Literally walking down the road is as tough as it gets," she told the MailOnline - love it!

Frankie Bridge – gave birth in August 2015

Update: Frankie and Wayne welcomed a baby boy on August 15th. The Saturdays' singer tweeted: "Our gorgeous baby boy Carter Bridge was born this morning. He is absolutely perfect - Parker is so excited to be a big brother!"

Frankie Bridge is already mum to a little boy named Parker and gave birth to a second boy and playmate for the youngster. It was all a bit of a surprise for the couple as to the sex of their baby, at the last minute at the scan, Frankie and hubby footballer Wayne Bridge decided to keep the baby's gender a surprise.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a smooth running pregnancy, The Saturday’s singer admitted she suffered from severe morning sickness. At one point it was so bad she confessed: “even moving my eyes made me feel ill.”

Thankfully it didn’t last for too long and she was spotted out picking up a Nandos a few months into her pregnancy!

Olivia Colman – gave birth in summer 2015

Update: No formal announcement has been made, but Olivia Colman reportedly gave birth to her 3rd child in August.

This will be baby number 3 for Olivia Colman. The Broadchurch actress already has sons Fin, 9 and Hal 7 with husband Ed Sinclair.

She confesses to having a pregnancy craving for Smarties and we know how she feels but unfortunately we don’t have an excuse!

We also think she’s got the work-life balance down to a tee. When talking about her BAFTAs win for Best Actress for Broadchurch she admits: "We were in our socks, drinking tea by 10 o'clock." And added: "As long as I have Ed and the boys, everything is alright."

Zooey Deschanel - gave birth in July 2015

Update: Zooey gave birth to a baby girl in July soon after marrying Jacob in a 'super secret' wedding

Earlier this year New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel revealed that she was expecting her first child with her then fiance Jacob Pechenik.

"Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one," the 34-year-old told People. The couple began dating in June 2014 and got engaged in December.

Charlie Simpson's wife Anna Barnard – gave birth in July 2015

Update: On July 22, Charlie's wife Anna gave birth to their first son, Arlo Simpson.

Busted's Charlie Simpson announced his wife Anna Barnard is expecting his first at a gig in London.

"We are happy to confirm that Charlie Simpson and his wife are expecting their first child," his representative told OK! magazine. "At his sold-out acoustic show at London's Islington Assembly Hall last night, Charlie dedicated the title track of his new album 'Long Road Home' to his wife who was in the audience, and told cheering fans, 'I'm going to be a dad'."

Lena Headey – gave birth in July 2015

Update: Lena gave birth to a baby girl on July 10th. She announced the news on Twitter: "Just fallen in unconditional heartbreaking divine love for the second time."

Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey announced she was expecting her second child. The 41-year-old plays Cersei Lannister in the cult series and confirmed her pregnancy news earlier this year.

"I'm happy to confirm that I'm having my second child this summer," she told People. “I only hope that this announcement can help me to regain some of the privacy I have recently lost to prying photographers and ask that they please respect my privacy and let me enjoy this time."

Lena is already mum to Wylie, 4, from her marriage to ex-husband Peter Loughran, whom she divorced in 2013.

Helen Flanagan – gave birth in June 2015

Update: Helen gave birth at the end of June, two weeks after her due date

In December Helen Flanagan announced that she was expecting a baby with her Manchester City footballer boyfriend, Scott Sinclair. The couple have been together since 2008 and she broke the news on Twitter.

Jaime King – gave birth in July 2015

Update: Jaime gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday 16th July

Jaime King announced her pregnancy on Instagram with the cutest of pictures of her son, James Knight. The little boy can be seen blowing bubbles with a sign that reads, "I'm gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now I'm so excited!!!!!"

She’s got bestie Jamie King lined up as godmother and she had a pregnancy wardrobe is to die for but it hasn't been an easy road, Jaime was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) which meant she struggled to conceive for 4-and-a-half years before she became pregnant naturally with her first son, and now with baby no two on the way, she's one happy lady.

Rebecca Adlington - gave birth in June 2015

Update: Rebecca gave birth to her daughter on 8th June 2015

It's a honeymoon baby for Rebecca Adlington and her fellow swimmer husband Harry Needs. They announced she was expecting 3 months after their wedding and a scan revealed that they are having a girl.

We're absolutely loved keeping up-to-date with all of Rebecca's getting-ready-for-baby updates on Twitter and Instagram.

The Olympic swimmer revealed she'd like to have a water birth and the down-to-earth couple insisted they won’t be picking designer names for their new arrival, but they did opt for a less-than-ordinary name of Summer for their new arrival in the end.

Abbey Clancy - gave birth in June 2015

Abbey Clancy announced she was expecting a brother or sister for 4-year-old Sophia.

The model who is married to footballer Peter Crouch was keen for the element of surprise and wasn’t even tempted to find out the baby’s gender, just like when they were expecting their firstborn.

Although, it seems that Peter might've liked a boy. He revealed that although he has no preference, taking a boy to the football would be fun. We're pretty sure his girls will love watching daddy on the football pitch too!

Helen Skelton – gave birth in June 2015

Former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton, 31, announced she was expecting her first child with her rugby player husband Richie Myler, 24. Helen discovered she was pregnant just a few weeks before their first wedding anniversary.

"We'd been on a driving rip to Florida in December and I didn't feel that well," Helen recalled. "We weren't drinking much but I felt like I had a hangover. We thought it was the heat and sun but a little bit of us was wondering, 'What if…?'

"Even though we suspected it, when it showed positive we were in shock. You know this is going to change your life forever."

Keira Knightley - gave birth in May 2015

Update: Keira Knightley gave birth at the end of May. As of yet there's been no sightings of the baby.

Keira Knightley confirmed in December that she was pregnant with her first child. After weeks of baby rumours, Keira's publicity person has confirmed that she was expecting her first child with husband James Righton, but said she wouldn't be making any further comment and it seems she's keeping mum now the baby has arrived too.

Update: Kate gave birth to a little girl, Charlotte on 2 May 2015

The due date of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby coincided with their 4th wedding anniversary on April 29. But Charlotte didn't even arrive in time for the Queen's birthday.

Thankfully she arrived to not be caught up in the frenzy of the General Election. This means there is an age gap of around 21 months between Prince George and Charlotte.

After we waited with baited breath for Prince George's birth in July 2013, we couldn't wait to see if as much fuss was made the second time round (and yes it was).

Isla Fisher – gave birth in April 2015

Great Gatsby and Confessions of a Shopaholic actress Isla Fisher was 5 months pregnant with her 3rd child when she announced the news.

Isla has been married to Ali G and Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen for 4 years and they have daughters Olive, 7, and Elula, 4, together.

Isla's pregnancy has meant she's dropped out of the planned sequel to her 2013 hit film Now You See Me – which began filming in December in London.

Milla Jovovich - gave birth in April 2015

Milla Jovovich gave birth to her second child with Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson. They've been married since 2009 and are already parents to 7-year-old Ever Gabo Anderson.

The actress needs to be ready to start filming Resident Evil —The Final Chapter in August and will only have 5 months before she needs to get back to work. "I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously," she wrote on her Facebook page.

Catherine Tyldesley – gave birth in March 2015

Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley and her personal trainer fiancé Tom Pitfield announced they were expecting a baby in March. Catherine revealed that the couple were expecting a boy following her 20-week scan.

The 31-year-old certainly enjoyed her first pregnancy and even came up with the 'best game ever' to play with her baby bump. The mum-to-be had fun balancing a tasty Malteser on her bump and waiting for her baby to kick it off!

"Last night we discovered the Best game ever! Watch bump kick Maltesers off my belly," she tweeted at the time. We think it goes without saying that you eat the chocolates once bump has kicked them off.

Liv Tyler – gave birth in February 2015

Update: Liv went into labour 6 weeks early and gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday 12 February.

Hollywood actress Liv Tyler announced she was expecting her second child in 2015. She's already son to her 9-year-old son Milo.

"The most fun thing about being pregnant again is having those mum hormones flowing around," Liv recently revealed in a photo shoot for Town & Country. "You're more present in your body, and it's making me a better mother for Milo. You become more like a child. When you're tired you have to sleep immediately."

We can identify with that - but if only it was possible to go to sleep when and where you wanted!
