Now the sun is shining, new mum and TV presenter Charlotte Hawkins is keen to get active. And it’s not just the Good Morning Britain host who’s up for the challenge with her walking trainers – baby Ella Rose is ready to go in her sporty buggy too!
The first-time mum, who gave birth to her daughter in February, has chosen the brand new iCandy Peach All-Terrain – £640 for the pushchair and an additional £195 for the carrycot. The Peach All-Terrain is the latest addition to join the iCandy collection, with air-filled tyres and 3-wheel suspension to help you take on tougher terrain like pebbles and even tree roots in the park. Charlotte has chosen the Toucan colour-way with a sporty splash of electric yellow.
Last week, the 39-year-old took baby Ella in to meet her work friends at Good Morning Britain. “It’s a whirlwind, it’s like a mini tornado hits as soon as you have the baby. It’s extremely full on, the first few weeks,” she told her co-presenters Susannah Reid and Ben Shepherd. “It’s starting to calm down now… but to begin with it’s just crazy and nothing prepares you for it.” Ah, yes…
And Charlotte admitted that she’s struggling with the sleeplessness. “I thought that because of the job that we do – getting up in the middle of the night, not getting that much sleep – I thought I would be quite used to that but it turns out no.
“It’s sleeplessness on a whole new level because you’re just waking up every couple of hours. Even when you are asleep you’re on high alert. Even when they’re asleep you’re checking on them.”
