The flame-haired actress announced her pregnancy on Twitter.

“We have some news to share,” tweeted the 30-year-old soap star. “Chris and I are expecting an addition to our family. Very happy.”

Jennie’s been at the centre of many a dramatic Corrie plot since she started playing Fiz as a teenager in 2001. In the soap live 50th episode, Fiz gave birth, prematurely to a baby girl she named Hope.

She’s thought to be the first actress to ‘give birth’ live on a TV soap. We trust Jennie has no plans to do it for real in 9 months’ time…

Congrats to both Jennie and Chris!
