Friends actor and film director David Schwimmer is a first time dad following the birth of his new baby daughter. Cleo Buckman Schwimmer was actually born on Sunday 8 May and David and his wife Zoe Buckman have been able to keep the birth quiet for a few days.

David tweeted tonight, “Hey everyone. Please welcome my daughter, Cleo, to this crazy but wonderful world.” and popped up a cute pic of David and Zoe cuddling their new baby on his website.
Schwimmer, 45, got married in June last year to Zoe, who’s 25 and a British photographer. The pair met in London in 2007 when Schwimmer was working on his debut film as director, Run Fatboy Run.
A year earlier in 2006, Schwimmer had talked wistfully of one day becoming a dad. "It will happen when it feels right," he commented. “I'm confident it's gonna happen." Well congrats - it just has!
