A letter written by an 11-year-old girl to Santa has had more than 7,500 likes on Facebook – and we can totally see why.
There’s not a single mention of any toys Bobbie-Mae Chalk from Southampton wants delivered down the chimney on Christmas Day – just a plea that good old Saint Nick might be able to stop her mum Debby suffering from Crohn’s Disease – a form of Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Bobbie-Mae penned these words:
Please if you can make my mums (sic) life better and make her not feel ill all the time, I would really appreciate it.
Make her life more and more better, it hurts to watch her suffer, so please make it better.
If I had one wish in the whole world it would be to help.’
Mum Debby was overwhelmed with her little girl’s actions, saying, “I was a little bit surprised as I always feel I put on a brave face and hide my illness well but clearly nothing gets past her…I welled up and couldn’t believe it, makes me so proud to be her mum.”
Awww, nice one, Bobbie-Mae.
