Elton John and David Furnish plan Christmas birthday bash for son Zachary
The couple want it to be a family affair – but will not be lavishing their little one with gifts
Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish are rolling their son’s first birthday and the family’s Christmas celebrations into one, as baby Zachary will turn 1 on Christmas day.
“We’re going to roll the two together and bring all the families together and have a wonderful celebration, so I’m so excited about that,” said David, reports the Metro.
But the 49-year-old filmmaker has insisted he and Elton, 54, will both be holding back when it comes to buying gifts.
“I want there to be one significant present to mark each birthday in a memorable and meaningful way,” said David, speaking at the Los Angeles charity event for the Trevor Project, which provides help to young member of the gay and lesbian community
The pair, who married in 2005, took their son on his first ever summer holiday earlier this year.
