Disney has unveiled a huge slate of upcoming films and TV shows at its D23 Entertainment Showcase in Anaheim, with Frozen 3, Incredibles 3 and The Bluey Movie among the biggest announcements for families.
There are sequels to Lilo & Stitch and Coco on the way too, while Disney has also confirmed another Zootopia film is in development. Here are the dates parents will want on their radar.
Frozen 3 is coming in November 2027

Elsa, Anna, Olaf and the rest of the Frozen gang are officially heading back to cinemas.
Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad appeared during the showcase, where new songs from Frozen 3 were revealed alongside fresh animation.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the footage reportedly teased a new villain whose powers could rival Elsa's.
Frozen 3 is due to open in cinemas on 24 November 2027, so there's still a little while to wait before the inevitable new additions to children's Frozen playlists arrive.
The Bluey Movie has its first teaser

For families whose homes already contain more Bluey than they care to count, this could be the biggest news of all.
The first teaser trailer for The Bluey Movie debuted during the showcase, with the film scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 6 August 2027.
That means Bluey and Bingo will be making the leap to the big screen next summer.
Incredibles 3 finally has a release date

Pixar
The Parr family is also preparing for another big-screen adventure.
Pixar shared a first look at Incredibles 3, which is being directed by Peter Sohn. The sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 16 June 2028.
Lilo & Stitch 2 is officially on the way

The Walt Disney Company
Disney is continuing the story of Lilo & Stitch, with production on a sequel due to begin in Hawaii later in 2026.
Chris Sanders is returning to direct, and the film has been given a cinema release date of 26 May 2028.
Coco 2 will feature an older Miguel

The Walt Disney Company
Pixar also shared more details about Coco 2, although families face one of the longer waits for this sequel.
New concept art shows Miguel as a teenager, while Benjamin Bratt confirmed that the original film's villain will return.
Coco 2 is currently due in cinemas in November 2029.
And Zootropolis 3 is already in development

The Walt Disney Company
Another trip to Zootropolis is on Disney's agenda, too. A third film is now in early development, under the US title Zootopia 3, and an exclusive sequence was shown to the D23 audience.
There is no release date yet, so this one is firmly in the "watch this space" category.
More Disney family releases to add to your calendar

The Walt Disney Company
The showcase included plenty more announcements beyond Disney and Pixar's biggest sequels.
- Ice Age: Boiling Point: 5 February 2027. A new clip introduced Jurassic Scrat.
- Gatto: 5 March 2027. Pixar's Venice-set animation stars Mark Ruffalo as a street cat called Nero.
- Tangled live-action film: 31 March 2028. Kathryn Hahn will play Mother Gothel, with Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider.
- Ghost Market: March 2028. A new Pixar story set on Oahu's North Shore and centred around a shop serving lost spirits.
- Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3: arrives on Disney+ on 20 November 2026.
- Oswald: a live-action and animated Disney+ series based on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, launching 17 February 2027.
- Kingdom Hearts: an anime series based on the game franchise has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+.
And there's something for musical-loving UK families, too. Disney Theatrical Group announced that its stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman will open at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane in spring 2027, following its run at the Bristol Hippodrome.
With Bluey, Frozen, The Incredibles, Lilo & Stitch and Coco all returning, family cinema trips look set to be very busy over the next few years.
