The proud mum describes 'intense and euphoric' birth of baby Honey Krissy

We *heart* Fearne Cotton – not for her a week of luxe hotel-style confinement in a swanky mega-buck maternity hospital with a tummy tuck thrown in with the c-section and then a mag deal in which to reveal her ‘birth story’. Oh no, instead, she gives us a completely down-to-earth and honest account of little Honey’s arrival on good old Facebook. And we love her for it – particularly how she acknowledges that all birth experiences are so very different.

In her lengthy post, Fearne reveals she used hypnobirthing (where you utilise self hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques during contractions) for Honey’s arrival as well as cards with positive slogans on to help keep her focussed through labour.

Sharing a pic of the cards, which had aphorisms such as ‘I am confident in my own decisions’ and ‘Love begins in our home’, Fearne wrote:  ‘Love my YES MUM cards from @theyesmummum who brilliantly guided me through hypno birthing before my big day.’

The mum-of-two said Honey’s arrival was a ‘positive experience’ which was both ‘intense and euphoric’.

‘Having a natural pain relief free birth was the most intense and euphoric experience ever’ she wrote. ‘My first birth was very different to this and although all we want is our babies to be healthy I think it’s important to remember how strong us women can be and what our bodies can do.’

‘Each birth story is miraculous and amazing however it turns out. I just feel grateful I had a positive experience.’

Fearne and husband Jesse welcomed their second child last week and didn’t hang about in declaring how head-over-heels in love they were with her as they shared a cute pic of her tiny little hands. Fearne then went on to tweet that the pair were ‘over the moon and buzzing with love’.

And becoming a mum-of-two doesn’t see to have slowed Fearne down any or meant less time for toddler Rex, now 2, as well as using Facebook to share her amazing birth story, she also revealed she was up and about making thank you cards with him – see, just like every other normal mum! We can’t wait for her next set of up updates and pics!
