Gisele Bundchen has responded to the heavy criticism that she has faced after she said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that breastfeeding should be law for the first six months of a babies life.
“My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law,” Gisele wrote on her official blog.
“It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mum has brought a lot of questions. I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child.”
Gisele also said that although she doesn’t believe her views were misguided, as some have argued, she isn’t trying to judge other mums. “I am sure if I were sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge.”
