Jenny Frost is preparing to welcome twin girls into the world in a few weeks, but revealed she went into labour last Thursday and has been advised to rest by doctors.
The 34-year-old singer, who has a 5-year-old son Caspar from a previous relationship, is 33 weeks pregnant and took to Twitter to update fans on her condition.
“Well after tweeting all clear off the Dr on Wednesday night....it would appear I tempted fate! Went into full on labour 6am Thurs morning...” Jenny wrote.
“...the Drs managed to stop it but been in bed in hospital since.Allowed home now but on total BedRest!!#notaverygoodpatient”
Jenny’s tweets sparked messages of support from her fans and she replied, “Thanks for your messages....Me & the girls are fine......just need to try & keep them in & cooking as long as possible!#peskybabiesinarush.”
“Thanks for your reassuring positive messages about pesky early babies....I'm 33 weeks & (non id) girls are a good size. Just need to rest,” she added.
Jenny has been recording her pregnancy journey in a blog on the NHS website, and revealed that she’s planning to breastfeed and that she may have to deliver the twins by Caesarian-section if they don’t change positions in the next two weeks.
“The girls now weigh approximately 4lb 5oz each (about 2kg) which is apparently a good size for twins. The doctor also said that a natural birth would be “impossible” but I’m still waiting for the deadline of 35 weeks to have that confirmed. You never know … they could turn. Come on girls!”
Great to hear Jenny and the twins are doing well!
