Julia Bradbury has announced she's pregnant with twins. The 44-year-old revealed in September that she was pregnant with her second child, but now the Countryfile presenter has confirmed that she's actually expecting twins. So after longing for a sibling for 3-year-old Zephyr, she'll have 2.

"I'm completely overjoyed," Julia, who's due to give birth next spring, told Hello! magazine. "The prospect of having 2 for 1 is just incredible."

Julia had her first child at the age of 41, 2 years into her relationship with property developer Gerard Cunningham, 55.

When they started trying for a baby she wasn’t sure it would happen as she’d been diagnosed with endometriosis – a painful condition which can affect fertility.

"Starting later in life having children, I didn't ever think I'd have a big family," she said, posing with her bump in a rather snuggly looking shawl. "Zeph was the unexpected miracle and I was thrilled and happy to have him. It's taken a long time to get to this stage so the prospect of going from one to three is utterly amazing."

The babies were conceived on her 5th round of IVF treatment.

"I am slightly guarded and I'm not taking anything for granted," she said. "This whole process is very much about milestones – getting to the next stage – so it's quite a rollercoaster. We've got to be ultra, ultra careful, really cautious and try to stay as healthy, calm and comfortable as possible."
