Building a Lego tardis might seem like the stuff of sci-fi dreams, but collectors will soon be able to let their tiny Lego Daleks loose to "Exterminate!" the Doctor with his tiny sonic screwdriver.

Lego has yet to reveal what will be included in the official set – but the picture above shows the initial concept by Doctor Who superfan Andrew Clark, submitted to the Lego Ideas website. Andrew's concept shows villains including a Weeping Angel, Dalek and Cyberman. He's also created David Tennant and Billie Piper as Doctor and his companion with Tom Baker's retro Doctor from the 70s and robotic dog K-9 also included.

Lego has also unveiled plans to release Lego based on Disney Pixar's much-loved eco robot Wall-E. Other Lego fan ideas that didn't make the cut include the X-Men X-Mansion and Ghostbusters HQ.

"We're extremely excited to announce that a Doctor Who and a Wall-E set will be released as our next Lego Ideas fan based sets, congratulations to the designers Andrew Clark and Angus MacLane," Emma Owen, UK spokesperson for Lego Ideas said.
