No, not Andy. In this real-life Toy Story the cowboy doll is looking for a boy called Liam.

And just like the Disney original – he has his owner’s name scrawled on his foot.

Woody was found lying on the side of the M4 covered in dirt by motorist Bev McNeill, 50, who spotted the toy while she was stuck in traffic.

Bev first spotted Woody 7 weeks earlier but was travelling too fast to stop and get him. But when Bev saw Woody a second time – she had to stop.

When she got home she put the doll’s picture on Twitter with the hashtag #GetWoodyHome in hope of tracking down his owner Liam.

Since then it has been retweeted over 3,000 times. The picture was even retweeted by Toy Story writer Andrew Stanton – the voice of Toy Story 2’s Emperor Zurg.

"I’m a big fan of Toy Story and of Woody in particular and it was so sad to see him lying there on the side of the road – just like in the movie," Bev told the Metro. "It would be wonderful to see little Woody and Liam reunited. I bet Liam is really missing him."
