Silver Cross is known for making some of the best-loved pushchairs on the market.

The baby-vehicle of choice for many monarchs, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the brand is also a firm fave with us normal folks, with the Wayfarer being rated one of the most loved by MFM mums and dads.

However, the brand has had one consistent criticism, the fact it doesn’t produce a double or convertible buggy.

Until now that is.

Silver Cross has recently launched the Wave, its first single-to-double pushchair.

Every bit as luxurious as we’ve come to expect from the British brand, the convertible buggy has a total of 15 different seating options and is suitable from birth to 15kg (around 3 years).

Travel system compatible with the Silver Cross Simplicity car seat as well as the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus, CabrioFix and Cybex Aton Q seats, you’ll be happy to know that carrycot and two car seat adaptors are included in the package.

Also included in the Wave frame, carrycot, seat unit, carrycot hood, seat unit hood and apron, raincover and cup holder.

A second seat unit and carrycot and of course a car seat can be purchased separately.

What is all of this likely cost?

The Silver Cross Wave starts at £955 and goes up to £1520 and is comparable in price to the Joolz Geo (£1,099), iCandy Peach Blossom 3 (which starts from £860 and goes to around £1197), Bugaboo Donkey Duo (£1,149), UPPAbaby Vista (£873.95) or Babystyle Egg tandem stroller (£907).

The Wave is out now and has already proven to be one of the biggest hits of 2017 so far!
