American rapper Remy Ma has revealed she has suffered an ectopic pregnancy – in a truly heart-wrenching video filmed from her hospital bed.

The 36-year-old star was expecting her 2nd child, her 1st with with rapper husband Papoose, but found out she would need surgery to remove the foetus on a recent episode of reality show Love & Hip-Hop: New York.

She was also told by her doctors she wouldn’t be able to become pregnant naturally again.

Not long after the episode aired in the US, Remy bravely posted a confessional-style video to Instagram, and admitted she decided to share her heartache so that other women going through the same thing wouldn’t feel alone.

We reckon this bruisingly raw and emotional post will resonate with many women who’ve experienced the loss of an unborn baby.

Watch her video below…

Speaking to her Instagram followers, fighting back tears, she said in the clip:

“So, I started planning… I had a baby shower to go to. I had a chance to go to a store and just see mad baby stuff. I bought a pregnancy journal, and started filling it out.

“I never thought for one second that it would end like this… in a hospital, with stitches in my stomach, and no baby.”

Remy also posted a lengthy caption, thanking the hospital for treating her so well during such a difficult time.

Her caption in full…

“First, thank you to everyone that sent their congrats as well as condolences?? This was a hard time for me & my husband & we thought long and hard before deciding to share this part of our lives with you all.

“I was totally against it but in a fit of crying@papoosepapoose said “you are not the only one going thru this, we will get thru it”… made me realise how many women like myself experience the same thing and don’t have a strong partner by their side to say it will be alright.

“So I’m here to tell anyone going thru a similar situation that it is not over and God has the last say so.

“Thank you to the staff at the hospital I was in; you all were super nice & respectful and did everything to ensure I was comfortable.

“And to Dr. Razmzan, who came to perform my surgery at 5am, who tried his best to leave me scarless and succeeded, who eased any fears I had – THANK YOU, & don’t retire yet cuz once we find the right in vitro dr you have to deliver my babies ? #BlackLove #RemyMa #MeetTheMackies”

We’re pretty speechless, to be honest – such a powerful post.

Sending love to the couple at this difficult time ?
