If Team GB’s sporting glory during London 2012 has inspired you to try for an Olympic baby, you may be able to improve your child’s chances of going for gold by aiming to give birth on March 23.


As reported on BBC News, an uncanny number of Britain’s sporting heroes were born on this day – including Mo Farah, Sir Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny and Sir Steve Redgrave.

Legendary track star Sir Roger Bannister, also born on March 23, was the first man in history to run a mile in under four minutes – an impressive pedigree to wish on any tot.

As MadeForMums recently reported, patriotic Posh and Becks are said to be trying to conceive another baby to mark the Olympic year. Although they’ve missed the June window for a March 23 birth next year, surely any child with Becks’ genes will have a golden chance of sporting glory whenever they’re born!
