Tyson Fury may have just been crowned heavyweight world champion – but there's one thing the tough guy won't take any risks over – his pregnant wife.

Tyson refused to fly home following his victory in Germany because of fears over his wife's pregnancy.

So instead of boarding the booked plane home, the couple got in a car and drove the 140-miles to Rotterdam, where they boarded an overnight P&O ferry to Hull and then drove to Manchester instead – taking 20 hours in all.

The reason for their extra care is that mum-of-2 Paris has previously suffered two miscarriages, according to the Mirror. Paris announced she was pregnant just hours before Tyson's fight on Saturday – where he took the heavyweight title from Wladimir Klitschko (the Ukrainian boxer whose partner is actress Hayden Panettiere).

Early last year, Paris lost a baby 5 months into her pregnancy. "Paris did not want to fly. She is pregnant and, although it is early days, they did not want to take any risks," a source said.

The couple already have a daughter Venezuela and a son, Prince.

"They have already lost two children during pregnancy. They have been trying for almost two years to have another child so they were leaving nothing to chance," the source added.
