A note about snowsuit safety
Although all-in-one padded snowsuits are great for cold weather, there are some situations where you'll need to remove them to keep your baby safe. Never put a child in a car seat while they are wearing a thick snowsuit: the padding on the suit can stop you from being able to fasten the harness tight enough, which could be very dangerous in the event of a collision. Take your child out of their snowsuit or bulky coat before putting them in the car.
You should also take care with snowsuits while babywearing. The added heat of your body in addition to the thick, cosy padding of the snowsuit could cause your child to overheat. It's also not advised to dress your child in an item with built-in feet while babywearing, as the position of the legs in a carrier can can cause the fabric to pull, and this could constrict blood flow to the legs and feet.
